Planned Obsolescence
...in 1959 Volkswagen mocked it in a now-legendary advertising campaign. While acknowledging the widespread use of planned obsolescence among automobile manufacturers, Volkswagen pitched itself as an alternative.
"We do not believe in planned obsolescence," the ads suggested. "We don't change a car for the sake of change."
Go, Volkswagen!

The Unhappy Poppy
A little trip out of the garage resulted in this:
AND. There's a corresponding ding on the RR fender, of course!
Not my doing! I guess our motto of "one thing leads to 13 others" is going to hold true. Brakes aren't handled yet, but just in case they get figured out soon, let's put another chore on the list, right?
Here's how I feel about it. This is actually before I saw the damage.

And. Of course there's a corresponding ding on the RR fender. I already said that, didn't I? I'm in shock, shock I tell you!

Must have!
There are a few things I really would like for Miss Poppy and they are:
- Metal luggage rack
- Metal eyebrows
- Pop-out back windows
- Whitewall tires

A few photos
On the way to the garage to get a new breaker bar after breaking one... again. I don't think that's how breaker bars are supposed to work. Need to get that left rear wheel cylinder replaced today in hopes of getting some serious pedal. Engine sounds great now!
